The Escape Prepaid Card was launched in 2009 by Phones4U and is a great card to manage your general spending and everyday money. A general spend prepaid MasterCardm the Escape Prepaid card is free to use online, instore or over the phone and also free to share money abroad.
The Escape Prepaid Credit Card is not a credit card, so you only spend the amount that you have loaded on to the card and there are no credit checks involved. The Escape prepaid MasterCard provides customers, a safe and secure way to manage their wages and benefits and provides an excellent way share money abroad. The Escape card is also an excellent way of budgeting personal or business expenses.
A prepaid MasterCard, it can be used in over 30 million locations worldwide, online and in-store – and can also be used to make withdrawals at over 2 millions ATM's worldwide wherever you see the MasterCard Acceptance mark.
The Good
The Escape Prepaid Card is free to use online or in store and free to share money abroad and you can move money instantly for free and as often as you like. The card also comes with a free Lebara SIM card and online cashback which gives you up to 20% cashback at 1000's of retailers online.

Application Process 
You can apply for the Escape Prepaid MasterCard online or in a Phones4u store using a quick and simple process.
- Apply online - Simply visit the Escape Prepaid Card website at http://www.escape-prepaid-card.com to apply for your Escape Prepaid Card online. To apply for our Escape Prepaid MasterCard, you must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident and need to provide evidence of the same. Your card will be issued once the evidence has been verified.
- Apply instore - Applying instore is just as easy. Just find the nearest Phones4u store and buy a card at the store itself.
If you apply online, your personalised escape prepaid credit card should be with you in 5-7 days. |

Using Abroad
The Escape Prepaid MasterCard card is only available in GBP and the Escape Prepaid Travel Card may be more suitable when traveling abroad especially in Euro or Dollar Currency regions.
The Escape Prepaid MasterCard is a MasterCard product which means that you can use it at over 30 million retail locations and over 2 million ATM's which accept MasterCard. POS transactions abroad are free subject to a fixed "day rate" FX fee that is published on the Escape website and can also be checked via an automated phone line as well as via customer care. ATM Transactions abroad cost £2 in addition to the fixed day rate..
Hence, you can definitely use your Escape prepaid MasterCard abroad but it is recommended that you choose the Escape Travel prepaid card if your main intent is to use the card abroad.
