Product Snapshot
There is a new way to pay your employees. It's called OnePay and it offers outstanding rewards for both you and your employees. Now when you have an employee who doesn't have a bank account, instead of using cash or cheques you can issue a OnePay Payroll Card. Available to all your staff and employees, OnePay is the reliable secure alternative. Carrying the MasterCard Brand mark the OnePay card is Chip and PIN secure.
As it sits alongside existing BACS payments it is incredibly simple to implement – pay employees without a bank account exactly as you pay your employees who have provided bank account details. So no more wage cheques or cash leading to simplified payroll procedures – and no delay in staff receiving their pay - wages are still paid on the same day.
There is no charge to your business for issuing the cards as the OnePay Prepaid Payroll Card team provide all the materials for applications and informational brochures for new and existing employees or temps, along with a dedicated customer care line.
The Good
As an employer, it means that you can harmonise your payroll and pay all employees electronically which will greatly simplify your payroll. Furthermore, these benefits are available to you regardless of how many people you have on your payroll - 10 or 10,000.As an employee, there are no more cheque encashing fees or delays or undue risks of having to carry money in your pocket.
The Not so Good
As an employee, you cannot reload your card as the only loading option available is via your employer or agency. However, this is a Payroll product and this restriction is surely outweighed by the potential benefits of saving on hefty cheque encashing fees or risking carrying wads of cash in your back pocket. Usage abroad can be a bit pricey, so you may be better off with a dedicated prepaid travel card if that's where you intend to use the card.
